Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Makes 100
Ingredients:
DRY |
3 cups | 750 mL | whole wheat flour |
5 cups | 1250 mL | slow oats |
2 tsp | 10 mL | baking soda |
1 tsp | 5 mL | salt |
WET |
2 cups | 500 mL | butter |
2 cups | 500 mL | brown sugar |
1/4 cup | 60 mL | milk |
4 tsp | 20 mL | vanilla extract |
4 | 4 | eggs |
EXTRA |
3 cups | 750 mL | chocolate chips |
Instructions:
- Beat butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in milk, eggs, and vanilla.
- Separately, mix flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
- Add "dry" mixture to "wet" mixture in thirds. After each third, beat until well-mixed.
- Mix in the chocolate chips. The mixture will have to be mixed by hand because it will be very stiff.
- Form into "walnut-sized" balls (2.5 cm / 1 inch) and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 - 15 minutes. They will not spread.
- Move to racks to cool.
